Photograph  Richard "Dick" Grace (1897-1965) was an American stunt pilot and aviation pioneer.  (For Information about Dick Grace, please google: Dick Grace Hawaii Aviation).  Grace was the first pilot to fly across the Pacific from Honolulu to San Francisco in 1927.  His plane had to be transported to Hawaii for this purpose.  Our photograph shows Grace's airplane, the "Cruizair", being loaded on a freight ship to Honolulu.

This 1927-photograph has damages (please see our scan). It has been mounted - hung with a glob of glue at the top on a piece of cardboard. On reverse side of photograph newspaper clipping of June 22, 1927, a copy of which is mounted on reverse side of cardboard.
