This are first edition of the series about the life of Tobias was published in the years 1582-1585. Gerard de Jode was the engraver. A second edition was engraved by Nicolaes Visscher (1618-1679). It is the Visscher series which is more frequently found.

Condition: Print with good impression on laid paper. There was a tear in lower right corner which has been underlaid with paper. The tear did not touch the image. There is a small tear in lower margin well away from plate mark. Seen from the rear side of print there is a fold running diagonally across upper right above the heads. Not recognizable from front. Light general age patina. Print has been fastened in upper left and lower left corners upon cardboard.
