Siegfried Mackowsky born in Dresden November 25, 1878, died in Dresden February 17, 1941.He was student of the Dresden Art Academy under R. Müller, E. Bantzer, E. Bracht and G. Kuehl. He was co-founder of artist group "1913". His paintings and woodcuts, mostly landscapes, mountains, and town views are known for their fine moody expression and exquisite colour.
