Very detailed copperplate etching map of Catalunya (Catalonia) circa 1640 by Willem (Guillelmus) Blaeu in Amsterdam.

Latin text on the reverse side about northeastern Spain. This map is of great interest because so many towns and topographical details are shown with old names.

The map has repairs on the lower margin and on the centerfold that have been very professionally done so that they are hardly visible except against the light. The two upper margin corners have been repaired so that they are not visible except against the light.Very minor spotting and a few creases.
A very light smearing of the ink in a few places. The map has a fine appearance overall.
