Diese Karte zeigt zwischen Weimar und Culmbach im Westen und der Oberlausitz im Osten sehr viel Detail. Auch kleine und sehr kleine Orte sind verzeichnet.
Der Erhaltungszustand der Karte ist gut. Einige Spuren von Alter und Gebrauch entlang der Ränder in den Margen. Der kartographische Teil der Karte nahezu makellos.
Ein Vorbesitzer hat einige Städte leicht mit Tusche und Doppelstrich ohne Beeinträchtigung des Gesamtbildes markiert. Reverse: Titel und Nummer mit Tinte geschrieben
Unten hinterlegte Fehlstelle am Marge Rand. .Falz geglaettet.

This map shows the area between Weimar and Culbach in the west and the Oberlausitz
in the east with many details. Even the smallest towns are shownThe map is in
good condition. There are some minor signs of age and use in the margins.
The map image is in fine condition. A previous owner underline some of the
towns in ink.which does not spoil the overall condition. On the reverse is the title writtenin ink.
Vertical centerfold has been flattened. Small repair on lower margin edge.

A very knowledgeable twitter participant thinks that the James Frazer in question is most likely James Fraser of Chelsea and provided the following link for additional information:

That website states the following:
"King's College alumnus James Fraser (MA 1664) achieved renown in London as a procurer of books for the libraries of the aristocracy and the royal family. A political pragmatist, his service to the monarchy continued unbroken through the period of transition from the Stuarts to William & Mary, and then to Queen Anne. Fraser's acceptance of the 1707 Union and the Hanoverian regime was to bring an intellectual dividend to King's College, particularly in the wake of the 1715 rising. King's commemorated Fraser's donation of rare books and funding for buildings, including reconstruction of the library, by awarding him an honorary doctorate and commissioning this portrait, which was painted in London."
