This map of Europe produced by an Italien engraver and publisher, was part of a duodez (small) book. Several vertical and horizontal folds indicate the duodez format.
Place names are spelled in the Italian version.
The map reaches from the southern tip of Greenland (Cape Farewell on the island of Eggers), and Iceland clear across northern Europe to beyond the Ural mountains, to the Caspian Sea and to Bagdad.
Northern Africa is barely defined beyond the Mediterranian coastline.
