When looking historically at the City of Speyer, we have to realize that Speyer, although geographically distant, belonged to Bavaria between 1816 and 1837. This is the reason why Spey is a part of this series of Bavarian districts and their capitals.

This print has nothing to do with Wade Speyer (unidentified flying ace from Danville, California), one of the greatest early street skaters, who was also one of the first all terrain masters. He skated for Dog Town, Powell Peralta, Think, Black Label, Venture, among others. His runs at the Marseille Contests were some of the best skateboarding ever performed. Thrasher owes Wade a skater of the year award.
