Cetinje (Цетиње) is a town in Montenegro. It is the former royal capital (prijestonica / приjестоница) of Montenegro; karst plain surrounded by limestone mountains, including Mount Lovćen, Ivan Crnojević, monastery (dedicated to the Mother of Christ), Eparchy of Zeta from Vranjina to Cetinje, Ottoman invasions, in 1485; The town was named after the Cetina river.
