Toenning is a small town in North Friesland in the State of Schleswig-Holstein, northern Germany. We are looking in a bird's eye view onto the town and its fortifications in the year 1651.

Published in "New Landesbeschreibung", the Schleswig-Holstein Atlas by Kaspar Dankwerth and published by Johannes Mejer in Husum, Germany in the year 1652.
Tönning was destroyed in the Burchardi flood in 1634.

Upper and left margin added. Right margin with repair. Print had other traces of age and use like a fold which has been laid down on strip of paper and a (repaired) tear. Please look at scan from reverse side to see the former damages.
