"Die Belagerung und Übergabe der Statt Trier, durch die Waffen der Bundesgenossen im Jahr 1675"
Kupferradierung von Jan Luyken (1649-1712)
General view of one of the oldest German cities across the Mose river. As a matter of fact the Trier claims to be the oldest. The scene is during the siege by French troops in November 1645.
Very attractive print and RARE, because it was not published in one of the typical city view books like those by Matthaeus Merian for example.
Time of print: Ca: 1680 to 1700
Original antique print
All four margins narrow. Centerfold smoothed and supported.
Good condition. Normal signs of age and use.
