One of Raphael's most important work: The School of Athens, wall fresco in the Stanza della Segnatura in the Vatican. Raphael's homage to all important philosophers. Diogenes, sitting on stairs front center of the finished fresco. This sketch is already very close to Raphael's final depiction. Diogenes was advocate of the movement of Cyniicism.
