Portraits, Niccolo Macchiavelli
Staue of the author of "The Prince" in the Uffici in Florence
Steel engraving by Friedrich Fraenkel (1832-1891)
Published by Austrian Lloyd. Triest, ca. 1860
Author of "The Prince", Macchiavelli caused controversy, as he
claims that, according to his perception, politics in all times,
were played by deception, treachery and crime. Some politicians,
also in our time, are described as dealing in a "Macchiavellistic" way.
Minor traces of age and use in wide margins.
