Michelangelo Maestri made the drawings
after the frescos in Cardinal Bernardo Dovizi da Bibbiena's private bathroom.
In 1516 Bibbiena (1470-1520) commissioned Raffaelo da Urbino (1483-1520) to create wall frescos for his private bathroom. And Raffael (Raphael) painted 12 such outstanding meads, of which we have two to offer here.
