The title cartouche held by two winged putti. Below title Helios (Sol) with aureola in his chariot drawn through the skies by four stallions, surrounded by a glistening aureole. Towards him rides, in her chariot, drawn by two doves, Aphrodite (Venus).
Below title cartouche and the described inset we see a large globe of the earth, with the "Old World", Europe, Afric, Asia facing us. A young winged male angel measuring the earth with a compass and relating his measurements to a female angel who writes the into a book of geography atlas). As we turn our eyes to the right foreground of the engraving, we see Urania, muse of astrolomy, holding a telescope, and in her other hand a measuring instrument. Her garb its sparkling with stars.
