One of the very enticing maps of this important Italian cartographer of the 16th century. We have to realize that we are looking at a very well preserved map 400 years of age! A Renaissance title cartouche, another with dedication and signature and another one yet with a mileage scale plus an ornamentic way of depicting mountains, forests and cities give this desirable map the touch of antiquity map lovers cherish so much.

This map has general light toning and ink rests on the plate mark that came about when the copper plate was
pressed on the paper. Small repairs on margin edges. Reverse side is very spotted.
Repair in lower margin on the vertical centerfold. Minor creasing.
