Juan Valverde de Hamusco (also Amusco) (c.1525-c.1588) was a a Spanish anatomist. who spent a number of years in Italy. Some plates are derived from those of Vesalius, with improvements in the anatomical details.

Each image has very small numbers or letters on the various anatomical parts. Most correspond to the numbered or lettered description (in Italian) on the reverse side. In some cases the description on the reverse side refers to another image.

The paper of all the prints is in good condition. Some prints have some scattered spotting and a few show light imprint from the previous page or the reverse side print is partially visible. Special faults are mentioned below. Prints have margins as shown in the first image below.
