Steel engraving by Eugene Decisy (1866-1936) after the painting by Joseph Bail (1862-1921). Published in "Magazine of Art" London, 1895
The scene: a totally pooped apprentice cook, legs stretched out, eyes shut with fatigue, cigarette in his mouth and a cat, just as tired from a day of cat-typical dolce far niente enjoying the end of a long day's work. Nice humorous composition!
Condition is excellent. Very clean. Wide margins. 13,8 x 20,8 cm (ca. 5.4 x 8.2")
