Datiert 1675

Birds-eye-view of the fortress and town of Montmélian. In the lower right is a plan of the fortress. The Isere River flows through the center of the extraordinary print.

In the lower area is a grand cartouche with the Goddess Fortuna. She holds the Savoyen flag in one hand and a cornucopia in the other hand. Two lions hold the coat-of-arms of Savoy.
Also visible are surveyors, cartographers, soldiers, vintners and farmers.

This copper engraving is very clean and in good condition.
Strong impression. Wide margins.
