This woodcut of Jerusalem was published in the small edition of Johann Schonsperger's edition of Hartmann Schedel's "Nuremberg Chronicle". This unlicensed edition was reduced in content and size. Schedel intervened, and the Schonsperger edition was abandoned. That's why this pirated printing is much more rare than the "real" Buremberg Chronicle by Hartmann Schedel.

This view of Jerusalem is a collectors' item for reasons of rarity, the circumstances of its existence and as an incunabula print.

View is on the full sheet. Reverse side has text print (see scan). Very good condition. Image comes close to center of book page. There is about 1,5 cm paper from the opposite page left with this print. There are a few tiny stitch holes along this line from book binding.
