The Sigmundstor is known locally as the Neutor. It is a tunnel that connects the older part of town with Riedenburg.
The image shows the Westportal on the Riedenburg side of the tunnel. Saint Sigismund was a king in Burgund and a martyr in 524.

Anonymous lithograph ca 1840.

The print was cut to its outside edge and with a golden border framed and mounted in an album page.
The title is mounted below the image.

Except for the cut to the edge of the image, the print is in good condition and rare.

Das Sigmundstor, im Volksmund ausschliesslich "Neutor" genannt ist ein Tunnel, der die Altstadt mit dem Stadtteil Riedenburg verbindet. Hier das Westportal auf der Riedenburg-Seite des Tunnels mit dem Heiligen Sigismund (Burgunderkönig und Märtyrer im Jahr 524)

Das Blatt wurde beschnitten und, von einer Goldlitze umrahmt, auf eine  Albumseite montiert, dort mit einer schwarzen Einfassungslinie begrenzt. Der Titel wurde unterhalb der Darstellung mistig montiert.

Abgesehen von dem Bleistift ist das Blatt sehr gut erhalten und dürfte selten sein.
