Praepositorum Bibliothecae Roncione Pratensi"  Copper engraving from "Utriusque Thesauri Antiquitatum Romanorum graecarumque nova Supplementa" by Giovanni Poleni (Joanne Polemo 1683 - 1761). This work was published in Venice in 1737 by J. B. Pasquali.  Poleni was known for his work in Astronomy, Physics, Archeology, and Meteorology. He constructed a wood adding and multiplying machine that had a limited function. Some say he was the "father" of the computer.
