"Venus de Medicis"  The Venus Medici is a statue created in ca 100 BC. In the 16th Century it was acquired by the Medici Family. This marble statue is 1.5 meters high. It was the model for Sandro Botticellis  "The Birth of Venus". The statue has been in the Uffici in Florence since 1815.
