Very attractive original hand coloring

Published ca. 1820

Triclinium was the name of the antique Roman dining room. It was also the name of a sofa in the dining room, where Romans used to take their meals in a reclined physical position (nicely depicted here). Dinner took place as Roman men were attended by their wife's (or slaves) while musicians played softly played music. A very classical Roman scene.

Very good condition.
