The Phaeacians are a people in Greek mythology who live on the island of Scheria, sometimes spelled Scherie. They're excellent mariners and skilled with all kinds of ocean activities - fishing, boatbuilding, navigating, you name it. They are instrumental in Odysseus's return to Ithaca.
Scheria, Scherie, Σχερία, Σχερίη), also known as Phaeacia or Faiakia was a region in Greek mythology, first mentioned in Homer's Odyssey as the home of the Phaeacians and the last destination of Odysseus in his 10-year journey before returning home to Ithaca. It is one of the earliest descriptions of a utopia.
