Original hand coloring. Published ca. 1635/40.  Amazingly beautiful general bird's eye view of Graz. Van de Sype was a Dutch architect and copper etcher, working and living in Graz. It is obvious that his etching of Graz was a pure declaration of love!

Amazingly beautiful general bird's eye view of Graz. Van de Sype was a Dutch architect and copper etcher, working and living in Graz. It is obvious that his etching of Graz was a pure declaration of love!

This very rare engraving is in very good condition considering its age. Because of its large size it had been folded several times. These vertical folds do show without taking away any of the gradezza of this majestic etching. There are several repaired tears in margins and other minor traces of age and use.
